Brew’s full of brilliant women, and we don’t take that for granted. Day to day, they’re the people shaping strategy, driving results, solving problems, and making sure our clients show up with confidence. For International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating that, but we’re also shining a light on something else: the energy, talent, and ambition they bring to life outside the day job, too.

We’re lucky to have a genuinely impressive bunch, and it felt right to share a few stories that made us smile, sparked our curiosity, or reminded us how much there is to admire beyond the office. So grab a brew, have a scroll, and meet some of the women who make Brew what it is, in work and beyond it.

Brithney – Data Analyst

Brithney is Brew's Data Analyst, and she’s proof that the right person in the right lane moves fast. After joining Brew as a marketing intern, it quickly became apparent that her strongest pull was towards data and insight. She took that clarity and ran with it, building a role where she turns marketing performance into decisions the whole team can act on.

A first-class marketing graduate from Birmingham City University, Brithney brings equal parts rigour and optimism to everything she touches. She’s genuinely one of those rare “ray of sunshine” people who lifts the room, while still being the person you want next to you when the numbers get messy, and you need answers, not guesses.

Outside the spreadsheets, Brithney's been part of Brew’s hospitality photo shoots (even as a model!), showing the same confidence and ease she brings to team life. She loves Brighton SEO and regularly brings back what’s new in SEO, social media, and AI, keeping Brew sharp, curious, and ahead of the curve.

Sophie – Account Director – SEO specialist

Working with Sophie is refreshingly straightforward. She’s pragmatic, calm under pressure, and always ready to lend a helping hand. As an SEO specialist who heads up the client services team, she keeps projects moving, priorities clear, and standards high.

Outside of work, she's a confessed typical millennial mum, committed to living her values. She loves vegan cooking, and she’s passionate about animal adoption. Sophie also speaks honestly about the reality of balancing work and family life, and has talked about how much difference Brew’s 9-day fortnight trial and flexible approach makes when you’re juggling the return to full-time work after parental leave. Her view is straightforward: supportive teams and flexibility are what make returning to work feel possible.

Max – Paid Social Media Lead

Max leads Brew’s big-brand paid social strategy, and you can feel it in the way campaigns are planned, not just launched. Strategic planning is where she works best, with a sharp focus on paid social that’s rooted in real-world experience. She’s worked both in-house and agency-side, so she understands what business owners need, what audiences respond to, and what drives performance.

As a Meta paid social specialist, Max brings rigour to multi-channel strategy, defining what “value” means for each brand and then building a plan to deliver it. She’s also brilliant at social media crisis management, steady under pressure and fast to act when brand reputation is on the line. That combination of strategic thinking and calm execution is rare, and it’s a big reason clients trust her.

Max is genuinely lovely to work with: fun, collaborative, and easy to be around, but never casual about results. She cares deeply about client results, and she’s the person you want steering the ship when the stakes are high and the details matter.

Julie - Social Media Manager

Julie's a proper time-served social pro, the kind who can juggle community management, influencer and content creator relationships, and content planning without dropping the ball. Clients love how quickly she responds, and creators love working with her because she's brilliant at building genuine relationships, not just transactional ones. Despite spending most of her life on social media for work, she's famously elusive online herself, which feels oddly iconic.

Julie works closely with Max and the paid social team, partners with Emm on multi-site social media training. Julie's impact is also recognised beyond Brew, having been named one of the Digital Women to Watch in 2025!

Outside of work, Julie has a mix of passions that make total sense once you know her. She's into horses, most sports (especially F1), keeping up with her kids (even though they're mostly adults now), and gin, which also features heavily on the interests list. Coming from a farming background, she's always loved being around animals, particularly horses, and sport was baked into life early on, from her teens through to years of supporting her own children across everything from swimming and rugby to football, cricket, and horse riding.

Beatrice – Social Media Account Manager

Beatrice started at Brew as a marketing intern in 2019 and made herself impossible to ignore, in the best way. Early on, she organised a major brand influencer event that turned into a proper success story, the kind that proves you’ve got both the organisational skills and the nerve to pull big ideas off.

Since then, Bea's worked her way up to Account Manager, trusted with prestigious names like Mitchells & Butlers and Wadworth Brewery. She’s even stepped into an agency in-plant secondment for Wadworth, which says a lot about how confidently she can represent both Brew and a client from the inside out.

From large-scale paid social campaigns to smart, creative positioning that actually lands with real people, Bea consistently delivers. She’s the person you want on an account when it needs fresh thinking and solid execution, because she brings both, every time.

Freya – Paid Social Media Executive

Freya's been part of the Brew team since 2022. A Sheffield Hallam University graduate, she works across paid social campaigns in a role that’s given her plenty of hands-on experience with how performance marketing works in the real world, not just on paper.

She also supports social engagement, helping brands stay present in their communities through day-to-day responses and audience interaction. That mix matters, because paid reach only goes so far if the brand voice disappears the moment someone comments or asks a question.

Working alongside paid social media lead, Max, and the wider paid social team, Freya continues to build her confidence across the details that make campaigns land well.

Amanda – Account Director

Amanda plays a key client-facing role at Brew, managing a team of digital specialists to deliver strategy and campaigns for our hospitality clients. Her remit spans the mix that drives growth for big brands, from website performance (SEO and content optimisation) to email marketing, organic and paid social, and online advertising across PPC and social ads.

She brings proven senior leadership experience from a wide range of consumer and public sector organisations, including NatWest, Direct Line, and Honda, as well as work across the Mitchell's & Butlers brand portfolio, Worcestershire County Council, and Batemans Brewery. Amanda’s known for strong interpersonal skills, pragmatism, and a high level of guest focus, paired with sharp commercial thinking. She’s an expert lifecycle marketer with deep strengths in CRM, account development, tendering and new business, and the management of multi-million-pound budgets.

Outside of work, Amanda's passion is art. She loves how absorbed you can get in the process, and the satisfaction of creating something you’re genuinely proud of. She first got into it as a way to carve out time for herself during lockdown, a creative reset away from homeschooling, being stuck indoors, and the pull of everyday chores.

Karen – Digital Strategy Consultant

Karen is a trusted pair of senior strategic hands when it really counts. She’s a results-focused marketing all-rounder with an integrated-digital focus and strong roots in direct marketing and CRM, bringing a clear commercial lens to every brief. Pragmatic and sleeves-rolled-up, Karen keeps one eye firmly on the big picture while still caring deeply about the details that make the work land properly.

She's also brilliant with people: building relationships, developing teams, and helping create a positive, productive working culture through a personable, open approach. Karen is uncompromising about quality, with high professional standards and a strong commitment to client service. She thrives on the variety, dynamism, and creativity that consultancy brings, and it shows in the breadth of her strategic skill set, from integrated communications planning and customer journey mapping to SEO, content marketing, CRM and segmentation.

Outside of work, Karen's passion is cycling in all its forms. She’s been on a bike since she was a child, and loves the simplicity of it, how sociable it can be, and the way it lets you challenge yourself. It’s good for the environment, great exercise, and for Karen, even the rain and hills are part of the joy.

Emm – Social Media Training Specialist

Emm leads social media training at Brew, designing and delivering bespoke programmes for multi-location hospitality brands. Her work spans everything from content strategy training to hands-on coaching in short-form video, always built around what teams can realistically deliver at site level. She's a Chartered Marketer, one of the Digital Women to Watch in 2024, and a Trainer and Educator finalist in the 2025 Digital Women Awards.

Emm brings both practical digital experience and a genuine interest in training and development. She's led senior digital marketing teams, owned multi-channel strategies, and can direct everything from performance activity through to creative delivery, which makes her training grounded, not theoretical. Emm's also a brilliant mentor and makes it her mission to nurture teams at all levels.
